Art Project Genki Caravan Yuriage in the stricken area of Yuriage to send wishes on the wind for repose of souls and for reconstruction. The group of 21 wind-sculptures of Wind Caravan that visited the six of remote places on the Earth and 120 Genki-nobori, drawn by children, friends and families, dance in the air.

More than 100 people including volunteers, the staff of Miyagi Museum of Art and Shingu Atelier collaborated to assemble and install the Wind Caravan sculptures around the Fishing Port of Yuriage and exhibit Genki-nobori at three different places near the port.

The participants offered a silent prayer to the victims at 14:46, the time when the Tohoku Earthquake hit the region. It was followed by the performance of the saxophone by a local musician. As the requiem for the victims, the participants wrote messages on the pinwheels and stabbed them on the slope of Hiyoriyama Schrine, so that the pinwheels shape the characters of Genki.
The dance performance of Ocean Star was dedicated to the victims from 17:00.
In the following morning of August 12, people gathered at 5:00 am to make wishes of hope in the morning sunlight on a hot air balloon, operated by the local team Balloon Boys.
