Genki-nobori exhibit at Nagisa Park in HAT Kobe

    The Hyogo Safety Day 1.17 Gathering ceremony was held at the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution at 11:50 a.m.
    At the goal of the Hyogo Memorial Walk, 36 Genki-nobori streamers were displayed. Those were painted at the Genki-nobori Workshop held at Arimafuji Park the previous fall. Governor Motohiko Saito arrived just in time and said, "Thank you for the Genki-nobori."

    Hyogo Safety Day 1.17 Gathering Ceremony started at 11:50 at the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution.
    Along the road that faces Nagisa Park right in front, 36 Genki-noboris fluttered in the wind.
    They were mainly selected from what Sanda based children, families and friends drew at the time of Genki-nobori workshop held at Arimafuji Park, on May 14th, 2021.
    At the ceremony, the Genki-noboris fluttering in the distance could be seen. It was moving when the children sang the song To Bring Happiness to the World to donate those who passed away because of the Great Hyogo-Awaji Earthquake.

    It has been 25 years since the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. The Memorial ceremony of 25 years since the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake was held under the presence of the Crown Prince Akishinonomiya and the Princess Kiko in Hyogo Prefectural Hall. The light of mourning was lit in conjunction with the Hyogo Safety Day Gathering held in HAT Kobe. The singing voice of children sounded after the silent prayer. Warm words of mourning were sent to the victims, and finally everyone gave flower to the victims.


    As usual, Genki-noboris were exhibited in HAT Kobe. They flattered and sent cheerful messages to those who suffered and are still suffering.

    On January 17, 2019, about 35 of Genki-nobori were exhibited at the goal of the 1.17 Hyogo Memorial Walk 2019 in Nagisa Park, HAT Kobe on the occasion of the Hyogo Memorial Gathering to pray for the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake that occurred 24 years ago. The messages on Genki-nobori were with the wishes for reconstruction to the damaged area by the Tohoku Earthquake and at the same time with hartful pray for more than 6400 victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.

    On January 17, 2018, about 40 of Genki-nobori were exhibited at the goal of the 1.17 Hyogo Memorial Walk 2018 in Nagisa Park, HAT Kobe on the occasion of the Hyogo Memorial Gathering to pray for the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake that occurred 23 years ago. A lot of people participated in the Memorial Walk in spite of the drizzle of rain. The messages on Genki-nobori were sent with the wishes for reconstruction to the damaged area by the Tohoku Earthquake.

On January 17, 2015, about 50 of Genki-nobori were exhibited in Nagisa Park, HAT Kobe on the occasion of the Hyogo Memorial Gathering to pray for the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. The memorial ceremony of 20 years since the Earthquake was held at Hyogo House in Kobe.

    On January 17, 2014, about 50 of Genki-nobori were exhibited at the goal of the 1.17 Memorial Walk 2014 in Nagisa Park, HAT Kobe on the occasion of the Hyogo Memorial Gathering to pray for the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake that occurred on January 17, 19 years ago.
    The messages on Genki-nobori, drawn in Hyogo, some foreign countries and Tohoku in the damaged area by the Tohoku Earthquake, were sent on the wind with the wishes for reconstruction.
