On Saturday, September 2, a Genki-nobori Workshop was held at the grass square in the Recreation Zone of Hyogo Prefectural Arimafuji Park.
Since the lingering summer heat was still intense, the number of applicants from Sanda City was limited to 10 groups, and the number of foreign groups recruited from Shingu Atelier was also limited to 10.
With the support of the Sanda International Association, we had participants from China, Vietnam, France, and the Philippines, and with the cooperation of the Italian Consulate General, Italian family also participated. For the first time, international members joined the Genki-nobori, making it an enjoyable event.
We gathered at the site at 9:00 a.m. and painted the front side in the morning, and after lunch we turned it over and painted the back side. The completed streamers were flown up in order of completion.
This time, they were displayed as a backdrop for the stage of the "5th Noh of the Wind” to be held on September 9 (Sat.). Mayor Katsuya Tamura of Sanda City participated in the event when the streamers were displayed. We all took a commemorative photo. Needless to say, we took a commemorative photo as a group with each of the energetic streamers in the background.
